De Ténéré 700 Rally is een zeer doelgerichte Adventure-motorfiets, voorzien van rally-techniek, waaronder een volledig verstelbare KYB-voorvork met lange veerweg en versterkte buizen, een carterbeschermplaat van 4 mm aluminium, lichtgewicht getande titanium voetsteunen en een slank kuipwerk. Deze Rally-versie onderscheidt zich door een uniek, op het erfgoed geïnspireerd kleurenschema met goudkleurige wielen en Yamaha's iconische speedblock-ontwerp, aangevuld met het hoge voorspatbord dat synoniem is aan woestijnracers. Met een dominerende zadelhoogte van 910 mm bieden het nieuwe zadel, de opnieuw ontworpen brandstoftank en het aangepaste koppelingsdeksel van de Ténéré 700 Rally meer flexibiliteit tijdens het rijden. Het veelgeprezen CP2-motorblok is vernieuwd voor 2026 en profiteert van de toepassing van de YCC-T elektronische gashendel, die een groot aantal nieuwe functies en een meer lineaire koppelcurve mogelijk maakt. Een nieuwe luchtinlaat verbetert de geluidservaring, terwijl ook een soepelere versnellingsbak tot de updates behoort. Aan de buitenkant zorgt een nieuw koppelingsdeksel voor meer beenruimte, zowel zittend als staand.
